Had a chance to go to the first Singapore toy and comic convention last week with Carl where we burned our pockets bu buying 6 tofu toys (one wobbler signed by a devilrobot), Tokidoki stickers, a Tokidoki hat, and a Nintendo Wii (and guitar hero - which I think is already overused hehehe). The event was so packed that 10 AM in the morning at least 5,000 people (estimate) were already queueing to get inside. Also had a chance to grab a few drinks with Apol Sta. Maria and his girlfriend at the Butter factory last weekend where we watched The Devilrobots, Pete Folwer, and Simone Legno draw murals on white boards placed at the middle of the bar.
Oh well. Just another week.
Can't wait to watch the death cab concert soon.
As you can tell, I had a lot of time with Love and Reverie. I haven't taken band pictures in a long time so this is a first in 5 years. Yay! Anyway, I have been shooting on manual so I'm so happy they even look decent! *whew* Yeah I had fun tonight. Tonight I was handed lemons and I made lemonade! haha
My friend Tom's having a 4th party (on the 5th), at his place near Chicago and Milwaukee; and that's a pain to get to from my place via public transit, so I'm biking on a warm Saturday night instead! Yeehah! I love my occasional excuses to bike on inner-city roads on a Saturday night, and to go pub-pedaling along the way (instead of pub-crawling -- get it?); it makes me feel all cool and urban and creative-class and shit. Oh, and since I have this superduper Nokia N95 on loan right now, I'm even shooting a video of the entire ride too, in the style of the other YouTube video I recently posted. (Oops, sorry, just realized I haven't posted it here yet; I'll do that when I get home tonight.)
Anyway, here I am at the great little tiny residential pub Maeve, on Wrightwood one block east of Southport; it's the halfway point, which I'm using as an excuse to stop and have a cocktail. This officially ends, then, the "pleasant tree-lined lane" part of tonight's trip; the last three miles is on an industial road winding through factories and the like. More later, suckas!
added another cactus to the cactus garden put it out in the sunlight
it seems that a grackle came to see it and found itself in the cactus light zone
I want an EEEpc! I've never wanted a lappy before but I really really want this one. I blame my boyfriend for influencing my decision on wanting gadgets that I will never ever use. Well I would use it for the price I would pay for it! I really only want one if I decided to go back overseas again. Just so I could use the internet connection in the hotels and play games of course when I'm not out and about! The bonus is the eeepc comes in some spanky colours by spanky I mean PINK!
I'll probably never get one on the basis of I don't need one but doesn't mean I can't admire from a far :(
